A Letter from the Pastoral Coordinator
Dear Families,
What a wonderful weekend for our South Seattle Parish Family as we celebrated with the families of 56 children who received their First Communion! The children and their families participated in a year-long preparation process that started with learning about and receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation in the fall and winter. The families then began learning about the Eucharist in preparation for the children receiving the Body and Blood of Christ for the first time this past weekend! Congratulations to all the children in our Parish Family and thank you for your witness. You remind all of us not to take this beautiful gift for granted!
If you have a child who will be in second grade or older who would like to receive these Sacraments next year, let me know or look for registration forms in August.
Peace, Jennifer Ibach jibach@stedwardparish.net
Partners in the Gospel: One Parish Plan Initial Listening Session

Để đọc tin nhắn bằng tiếng Việt, hãy nhấp vào đây: (Partners Listening Session)
We are in a new phase of Partners in the Gospel as we begin One Parish Planning, a process to help discern how we become one parish. It asks us, “Who are we?” and “Who do we want to become?”. This process has several stages, with many opportunities for community engagement. Specifically, there will be a series of listening sessions to hear directly from you on a variety of topics. The first phase of this process is called “Who are We?” and will help all of us develop an understanding and appreciation of the history, people, gifts, and ministries that have been central to each parish in our parish family. All are invited and encouraged to join us for a discernment-based Listening Session this Saturday, May 10 at 9:30am at St. Edward in the Parish Hall. We will start with light breakfast snacks and coffee, and move into our program at 10am. The gathering will be trilingual (Spanish-English-Vietnamese) and will consist of prayer, a short presentation, and a chance to share on the parish and parish family level. Please plan to join us. We cannot fully answer the question of who we are without your input!
Prayers for Fr. Scott

Fr. Scott is home! Please continue to pray for him as he recovers from his stem cell transplant. He will continue in isolation for at least another week. Because his immune system is severely compromised, he cannot receive cards, flowers, or any gifts at this time. You can follow his updates on his CaringBridge site and leave him messages of support there: https://new.caringbridge.org/site/5b385ce1-d0ee-11ee-81f6-f91413ca11f6 Please note: there’s no need to donate on the site as that does not go to Fr. Scott’s recovery.
Get your Group’s Dates on the Parish Calendar
