At St. George Parish and School, volunteers are the heart of our vibrant community. Your time and talents help create a nurturing environment for students, families, and parishioners. Whether in the classroom, at events, or on parish grounds, your contributions are invaluable.

Your Volunteer Journey in 4 Easy Steps

Understand Your Commitment

  • Two-Parent Families: 30 service hours per school year

  • Single-Parent Families: 15 service hours per school year

  • Deadline: April 30

  • Note: Unfulfilled hours will be assessed at $50/hour

Complete Volunteer Requirements (Before You Start)
For the safety of our students, volunteers working with children must:

  1. Complete a background check (one-time)

  2. Attend a 3-hour Safe Environment Training ("Protecting God’s Children")

  3. Sign Archdiocesan Safe Environment policy documents

Choose How You’ll Serve
There are many meaningful ways to contribute:

  • School Opportunities

    • Room parent or classroom help

    • Attend Parents’ Club meetings

    • Chaperone field trips

    • Help at school events or fundraisers

  • Parish Opportunities (up to 10 hours count toward your total)

    • Serve during Mass

    • Help maintain church grounds

    • Support parish commissions or events
