A Letter from the Pastoral Coordinator

Dear Families,
This past Sunday, St. George Parish School hosted its annual Multicultural Fair from 12pm-3pm. The theme was We are the World and the event featured food for sale, performances, and crafts from around the world. We are so blessed with a rich diversity of races, cultures, and ethnicities in our South Seattle Parish Family. A couple weekends ago, we held our first Partners in the Gospel One Parish Plan gathering, where we had small group discussions available in five different languages. Participants had a chance to share about the gifts of their individual parishes and the Parish Family as a whole. Many expressed the gifts of welcome, community, and diversity that exist in our Cluster, “reflecting the richness of the Body of Christ”. I am struck by the Easter readings as we listen to how a small group of disciples spread the Christian faith through trial and adversity. Thanks to them, and to all our ancestors who passed on the faith, we have a vibrant local Church made up of people from all over the world!
Peace, Jennifer Ibach jibach@stedwardparish.net
