24 Karat Magic was magical!

24 Karat Magic was magical!

Thank you to everyone who joined us on Saturday at the Renton Pavilion Events Center! There were lion dancers, desserts, dancing & more!

A big highlight of the evening was celebrating Ms. Schroeder who will be hanging up her teaching cap at the end of this year after 36 years of teaching! While we won’t see her every day, she’ll still be with us every day of the year as the St. George Field will be known as the Annie Schroeder Field beginning this fall! Thank you to our generous bidders – the McCanns, Wingards, Watsons & Rittmans for driving the bids high for the St. George Field! Together, they bought the field naming rights for a record $7100! Plus another 39 families raised their bid cards high to add another $100 each, bringing the Field Naming Rights total to $11,000!

We can’t thank our donors, sponsors, volunteers & bidders enough for an amazing night and raising those bids for the kids! While we’re celebrating auction milestones this morning, our preliminary numbers weren’t as high as initially announced at the event due to a glitch in the software system. We’ll report final numbers soon (including the record-breaking dessert dash!), but we’re still thrilled about the auction’s success and want everyone to capture the emotion they all felt when hearing the “two” on Saturday and use it to push employee matching funds. We can still hit that number for the school and we want everyone to make that feeling a goal to have next year and every year after!

Friendly reminder for our winning bidders: if you still have items to pick-up, please email Auction@SaintGeorgeSeattle.org to schedule a time to pick-up your items beginning this Thursday, March 14th during school hours (7:45-3:15).
