Principal's Message
Less than two weeks until we welcome back our dragons! Construction is wrapping up and many staff members are coming in this Saturday to put our classrooms back together!
On Monday, all 41 of our staff members reconvene for four days of organizational meetings and professional development. We have a guest speaker focused on supporting neurodiverse learners, a math training for our new K-5 math curriculum and we all learn how to use our new communication tool ParentSquare. Did you sign you yet? We also get recertified for CPR/First Aid to ensure everyone’s wellbeing.
On Thursday, we begin a yearlong 17.5-hour training with the University of Notre Dame on supporting English Learners and empowering reading and writing skills of all students. All the fees for this particular training at St. George, and any other archdiocesan schools who so chooses, has been covered by the Fulcrum Foundation through a generous donation by Shea Properties. WOWL they are awesome!
