Hello! My name is Cris de Guzman II. I am the Learning Support Specialist for Grades 6th,7th, and 8th and the 5th Grade Religion teacher. I was born and raised in Seattle. I went to Holy Family School and St. Bernadette for grade school. I attended O’Dea High School and graduated in 2017. I was a member of the O’Dea Wrestling Team for 4 years. A highlight during my junior year was when I participated at the WIAA State Tournament.
In the classroom, I was surrounded by wonderful teachers and mentors. It was during my years at O’Dea that ignited my interest to pursue a career in education. In May 2021, I graduated from the University of Portland with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education, Major in History. During my years at UP, I was an active member of the Filipino American Student Association (FASA).
My interests are cooking, baking, traveling, reading and writing poetry. I enjoy watching Marvel movies, The Great British Baking Show, and Gordon Ramsey: Uncharted. I have a cat named Baron. I named him after the character from the Studio Ghibli movie “The Cat Returns.” I am very honored to be a part of the St. George school and community.
