I grew up in Seattle’s Beacon Hill and I attended its neighborhood schools. My family and I are currently living in the South Sound. I’m a longtime St. George Church parishioner and St. George School parent. I’ve served in our church ministries: Extraordinary Minister, Fil-Am Association, maintenance/facilities, and Knights of Columbus Pope John Paul II Council #13794, Past-Community Director. During the KOC events, you can find me in the kitchen as Sous Chef for our annual Spaghetti Dinner and Oktoberfest.

I’m an advocate for Catholic education. I believe in faith, service, and the dedicated teachers and various supporting entities of St. George. I have three children and all of them attended St. George School since
Kindergarten. My oldest child is in college, and my twins are in the intermediate grades. As a school parent, I participated in numerous activities, events, and committees: PTA, homeroom parent, security lead, auction committee team lead, New Family Liaison, Ambassador Family Representative, CYO soccer and basketball coach, the school’s first Webmaster, DYI fix-it guy, Drop-Off Dad lead (traffic/safety), chaperone, St. George 101 Guidebook, School Commission, etc. In 2013, I was honored as a recipient of St. George School’s Sue Byrd Volunteer of the Year award.

I received degrees from Bellevue College (AA Interior Design), Seattle Central College (AA Liberal Arts), and Seattle University (BA in Criminal Justice, cum laude). I’ve ascertained my WA Dept. of Children, Youth, and Families’ Basic Child Care certificate. I’ve worked 3 years as a Teacher’s Assistant at St. Paul School in Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten and supplementing in 1st Grade. I’m a Teacher’s Assistant for St. George’s Pre-Kindergarten, Butterfly Class since 2017. I also provide as-needed teacher’s assistance coverage in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Grades. In addition, I’m an After-School Care Administrator, overseeing student safety & well-being, campus security, student activities, homework help, conflict resolution, and crisis management.

Besides being at work/school, I like spending quality time with my family, caring for an elderly parent, DYI’ing at home and at St. George, doing yard work, baking with my wife, reading about history and sciences, and playing sports- particularly volleyball, softball, and most racquet sports. When I can, I’ve been volunteering for 17 years as a certified Community Emergency Response Team member and Emergency Worker at my city’s Office of Emergency Management, Emergency Operations Center. I participate in disaster skills training, safety officer, light search & rescue, HAM radio operation, emergency management, and disaster preparedness education. I’m truly blessed and honored to be working with the faculty and staff members of St. George School. Go Dragons!
