Holiday Giving Tree Gifts Due
Thank you to all who purchased gifts for the families at Catholic Community Services’ Pregnancy and Parenting Supporting program (PrePs). If you forgot your gift, please drop it by the office ASAP so it can get to its recipient on time. If you would like to help PrePs with their Christmas Party and gifts distribution at St. Edward next Tuesday, December 19, contact Rubit at rubitc@ccsww.org This is a fun, festive event and a good way to get kids involved in the holiday generosity.
Simbang Gabi Celebrations
Join the South Seattle Catholic Parishes for our annual Simbang Gabi Masses. This prayerful Filipino Advent tradition includes a novena of nine Masses meant to honor the Blessed Virgin Mary and prepare for Christmas. We will start our Simbang Gabi Masses on Friday, December 15 at 7pm at St. Edward with Bishop Tyson presiding and a reception to follow. Saturday, December 16 will include a Posada Celebration after Mass. The novena will conclude on Saturday, December 23 with Bishop Frank Schuster celebrating Mass. Partners in the Gospel FAQ: Will all Parishes be in Parish Familes?
Have you been hearing the term “Partners in the Gospel” but you’re not really sure what it is? Partners in the Gospel is a strategic pastoral planning effort taking place across the Archdiocese of Seattle to re-invigorate and renew our local Catholic Church. The majority of parishes will be placed in a family. However, there will be some parishes, due to size, geographic location, unique cultural communities or other factors, that will not join a family. These parishes will still be part of the Partners of the Gospel renewal effort to plan for how to best carry out the mission of the Church. Learn more at https://archseattle.org/partners
