Youth Migrant Encuentro Middle School Service Learning Trip

Our summer service learning trip is back!  All rising 7th-9th graders are invited to apply for our trip the Skagit Valley running from Wednesday, July 31-Saturday, August 3.  We will stay at St. Mary in Anacortes and volunteer at the Tri-Parish Food Bank at St. Charles in Burlington.  In the evenings, we will attend Mass and host a fiesta in one of the local migrant camps.  The youth will grow in faith, fellowship, and their understanding of Catholic social teaching as we encounter those who labor in the fields to put food on our table.  Applications are due by Monday, April 22.  Contact Jennifer with any questions and to receive an application: jibach@stedwardparish.net

Mothers Faith Sharing Group

All moms are invited to our monthly faith-sharing group on Monday, April 22nd at 8am at St. George Parish.  We read the Scripture for the upcoming Sunday, reflect, share prayers, and build community.  Contact Jennifer for more information: jibach@stedwardparish.net

Bayanihan 2024

The Filipino Guild at St. Edward invites everyone to their 40th St. Edward Parish Dinner Dance on Saturday, May 4 from 6:30-11pm.  Enjoy a fun evening of dinner, dancing, entertainment and raffles.  Tickets are $50 and can be purchased through calling the St. Edward office at 206-722-7888.  The event planning team is also looking for volunteers ages 11 and up who can assist that evening selling soda, greeting and seating guests, serving dinner, clearing plates, and selling raffle tickets from 6pm until their job is done.  This counts toward service hours and volunteers do not need to purchase a ticket.  Adult volunteers are also needed from 10-11pm to help clean up.  If you are interested, please contact Jennifer at jibach@stedwardparish.net by Tuesday, April 30.

Partners in the Gospel FAQ: What does this mean for the staff?

Have you been hearing the term “Partners in the Gospel” but you’re not really sure what it is?  Partners in the Gospel is a strategic pastoral planning effort taking place across the Archdiocese of Seattle to re-invigorate and renew our local Catholic Church. As parishes form into families there will inevitably be staff changes. How Partners in the Gospel will impact a specific staff role will certainly depend on the makeup and needs of the new parish family. Parish leaders are urged to move slowly and take their time in determining the needs of a parish family – especially as it relates to staffing. It is important to remember that the goal of this effort is to renew parish life and doing so will require many people. To learn more about Partners in the Gospel, go to https://archseattle.org/partners
