“The Earth” is protesting for the wrong that we are doing to her, because of the irresponsible use and abuse of the goods that God has placed on her.”
Pope Francis

Hello St. George Families

On the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, we had a really sweet blessing of the pets. These creatures are gifts from God and teach us to be more gentle and caring. St. Francis teaches us that we are called by God to protect and care for the environment as both worldly citizens and followers of Christ. You can read his appeal to us in his encyclical letter, Laudato Si’ https://www.vatican.va/content/francesco/en/encyclicals/documents/papa-francesco_20150524_enciclica-laudato-si.html

Come to the Parents’ Club meetings tonight at 6:30 PM in the school hall. Planning is underway for our October 28th Halloween Carnival. Each classroom group of parents will run a booth/game at the carnival. Your Room Parents will be reaching out to you to volunteer for a shift. In addition, there are some general positions that need support. Check out the Sign-Up Genius for a slot just right for you. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0F48ABAF2CA4FF2-stgeorge2

Preschool- Kindergarten 2023-24 Intent to Register.

If you have any child who is not currently enrolled in our Early Learning program who will be age three or four by August 31, 2023 and would like them to be on the wait-list for the next school year, please contact our office.

We are also taking names of any incoming Kindergarten students who will be 5 by August 31, 2023 and are NOT currently in our Early Learning Program.

We want to make sure we save spaces for the littlest ones in our families! Please help us spread the word to family and friends to contact us and set up a tour for their own placement!

Tuition Assistance applications for 2023-2024 school year are due soon. Any family interested in applying for tuition assistance for students in K-8th Grade must complete an application. If you DO NOT complete the application with Fulcrum, we will not disburse tuition assistance to your family.

Go to https://www.fulcrumfoundation.org/grants-and-programs/tuition-assistance to apply ASAP. Be sure to include any incoming Kindergarteners for next year in your family.

If you need assistance, please make an appointment with our business office before December 14th. Though Fulcrum’s application deadline is January 6th, you will need to upload 2021 tax documents in order for it to be deemed COMPLETE. The Fulcrum Foundation is strict with their deadline, and our office will not have the time to help in January, so please plan ahead!
