Principal's Weekly Newsletter

Dear St. George Families,

Thank you to all the families who came to Curriculum Night! I am attaching our PowerPoint from the general meeting for you to review.

Traffic was a BREEZE this morning: thank you for abiding by our request!

It was amazing to see all the Moms, and a few Dads, who have stepped into leadership/community event roles in support of all 263 of our students. Father Scott laid down the challenge to all you fathers to encourage more of you step in and help, too. Most of our families have two working parents. We are all very busy with work and family life and the fact that you have decided to make your child’s education a priority by being involved in their school community life speaks volumes of the caring people you are! It is not just about your child, but we also have a moral imperative to lift up ALL children. They are our precious gifts and our future!

This weekend, (Fri. Sat and Sun.) is the annual San Gennaro Fair in Georgetown. Our development director, Andrea Chiodo will have a St. George Parish School booth there marketing our school to the community and our alumni who attend the annual event. The school will be a part of the 11:15 procession of the Saint. So come join us in our St. George T-shirt. There will be awesome food, music and fun for the whole family!

Sept. 11 Back to School Family BBQ Preschool-eighth Grade. Let’s gather, reconnect and enjoy each other’s company from 11:30-1:00. To help keep costs in line, we are asking all families to register on line to attend. The ticket price is $10 per family. To register to help and/or attend, go to https://www.saintgeorgeseattle.org/back-to-school-bbq or use the attached QR code link.

Sept. 25 St. George Jogathon! Husky Ice Cream at the finish line! It is not too early to start getting your pledges. Share the link https://saintgeorgeseattle.ejoinme.org/rundragons to friends and families! Families who raise $250 earn a free t-shirt, designed by winning student artist. All funds due Friday Sept. 23rd!

I look forward to seeing everyone this weekend! It is going to be a hot one.

Proud to be a St. George Dragon!
