Dear St. George Parents,
Happy Lent!
Yesterday, during the Ash Wednesday Mass, our processional song was SOMEONE IS KNOCKING AT MY DOOR. Fr. Armando reminded us that during Lent we are reminded to intentionally listen to that knocking, because it is God knocking on our HEART, calling us to him! We repent and come back to him through prayer, the practice of fasting and the sharing of alms/gifts of love to others. Each child received a Rice Bowl as part of the practice of almsgiving and fasting. We will collect those on Holy Thursday.
Earlier today, we sent the South Seattle Parishes Lenten schedule for all liturgical events up to Easter Sunday. Please know that our churches are open to all!
