Principal's Weekly Newsletter
Lord. Help us to see where your light is shining!
November 30, 2022
Hello St. George Parents.
COVID POLICY UPDATE. There is a lot of winter crud out there, and it is hard to know if it is the flu, a cold or COVID! We recommend COVID testing in all scenarios. We do have COVID test kits for anyone who is interested. Contact our main office.
As of tonight, we have 4 staff members (Ms. C. Hanley, Ms. J. Hanley, Ms. Schroeder and Ms. Farrington) and a few students out with COVID.
I am re-instating a MASK MANDATE for all students and staff Preschool-8th grade starting tomorrow, Dec. 1 through Dec. 16th. We want to keep as many people as healthy as possible and stop the further spread of illness before Christmas vacation. We appreciate everyone staying vigilant.
If you are exposed to COVID, we continue to ask students to wear a mask at school, to monitor daily for symptoms and test on day 3-5 after exposure.
If negative, you can come to school but you need to wear a mask at all times for 10 days while you continue to monitor for symptoms.
If positive, Day 0 is the day you tested positive, Students can come back to school on Day 6 and wear a mask for the next 5 days while at school. This also excludes students from CYO basketball games and practices.
Happy Advent! This first week of advent, we are called to sustain our search of light. As God’s people, we are called to walk in His light and no matter how much darkness is around us, we are called to give HOPE and encouragement to others. As John writes in 1:5 “a light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.”
BE THAT LIGHT AT CHRISTMAS: it’s how we act out our faith!
Shoeboxes of Joy are due Friday, Dec. 2nd
Homeless care packages: socks, beanies, gloves, scarves etc. due 12/16

I ask that you review the link below and see if there is a person for who you can give the gift of Christmas! https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0849adaf22a5f94-sharing1
