3rd Grade Newsletter
February 6, 2012 | Ms. Fredette

Dear Third Grade Families,

We had a terrific Catholic Schools Week. Thanks to all my third graders who cheered for me during the volleyball match!

Family Math Night is Wednesday, February 15th in the school hall. The entire night is free. Pizza will be served from 6-6:30pm and the games are from 6:30-8pm. Parents must accompany their children. This is a great opportunity to learn new games and what your child loves about math.

This week we are taking our second MAPS tests for the year. These scores will give us a better understanding of your child's growth over the entire year. Testing is on Thursday and Friday. Please be sure they get plenty of rest and a full tummy in the morning!

Our Valentine party will be next Tuesday at 1:45-2:00. Kids are welcome to bring in cards. St. Valentine's Day is about the sentiments of friendship and fun, not the candy. Treats are welcome just please contact me with what you would like to bring to avoid repeats.

Enjoy the growing "light" in the evenings. Spring is coming!

Cheers,
Megan Fredette

We watched a Mission Impossible Squirrel video to learn about investigative writing (who, what, where, when, and why). This will get us ready for our next edition of Dragon News and even March's Book Report. February’s Book Report rubric will be sent home this week. Take a look on the website to find an extra copy.
