Congratulations to Noah and Sebastian for representing the first grade in the school's first ever Scripps Spelling Bee during Catholic Schools Week! First Graders, keep reading and practicing for next year's spelling bee and beyond! Great job to all first graders for participating!

Learning Target for Reading: Students can spell words with the short /o/ sound as in the word 'box'.

Learning Target for Math: Students can count by tens and ones.

Monday, February 6th – Happy Monday!

  1. Complete phonics practice sheets on long vowel sounds and new spelling words.
  2. Read with a partner for 15 minutes and fill out reading log.

Tuesday, February 7th

  1. Complete math sheets on place value, counting by tens and ones.
  2. Bring a shoebox to make a Valentine card box for next Tuesday. We will decorate our shoeboxes on Friday.
  3. Read with a partner for 15 minutes and fill out reading log.

Wednesday, February 8th – Dismissal at 2:00 p.m.!

  1. Complete religion assignment about Jesus' teachings.
  2. Read with a partner for 15 minutes. Fill in your reading log.

Thursday, February 9th – Mass led by Grades 1 and 2 tomorrow morning! Please be on time for school! Thank you!

  1. Complete writing assignment for spelling and study for your spelling test tomorrow.
  2. Read with a partner for 15 minutes and complete reading log.
  3. Gather a canned good or two for your offering at Mass tomorrow. Thank you for helping others in need!
